Hello! So what version of Chaotica do you like best? I can use both linux and windows on my machine and I was wondering if there were some differences.

Can someone help me? I pasted the plugins I had for Apophysis in Chaotica's plugins folder so that I can render all my fractals with it. But now, when I open Chaotica, it doesn't find any of the plugins (I had some working ones in there before)? ("No plugins found in plugin directory /plugins")
Is there maybe a maximum amount of plugins? I've got almost 500 now... Oops

Hello!  I'm new to this scene, and getting my mind blown in all the right ways.  Can someone point me in the right direction to get properly started (other than downloading the program, obviously)?

As a novice myself, I would recommend the tutorials. Play with those. Pick a style you like and read a tutorial on it. Once you can recreate it you'll get a feel for how transforms work in that style and you can start playing around.

Oh okay! *Whew* There's a lot of great artists here and I am gaining a crazy amount of knowledge reading your tutorials. Hope to return the favor and discover something of my own someday.

You probably should first try both softwares - or at least Apophysis, since it is hard to judge something that is your area of expertise.
Any IFS fractal artist that cares about render quality will see the difference and the amount of effects and elements that are unobtainable in Apophysis (at least not without major hacking) ;)

I got too lost in APO to continue... Chaotic seems to use the same wire frame things

Both Chaotica and Apo are IFS fractal editors and renderers.

Btw I really think this group should contain fractals made with Chaotica and not all those renders of Apophysis.
